Reading a scan card

Every field on the card, what it means, and which ones should stop you buying.

A scan card is dense on purpose: it is meant to answer, in one message, every question you would otherwise open four tabs to check. This page goes through it line by line.

Liquidity Root (ROOT) ● SOL $0.00004954

Name, ticker, chain and current price. The name is a link that opens the token in the bot directly, which is how you share a scan into another chat without re-pasting the address.

The price block

           Price Volume B/S
5M: -7.44% $2.57K 2/6
1H: +20.8% $38.5K 48/92
1D: +142% $621K 3K/1.6K

Price change, traded volume and the buy/sell transaction split over three windows. The B/S column is the one to read first: volume with a heavily lopsided sell count is distribution, whatever the price is doing.

MC and Liq

MC: 49.5K | Liq: 17.0K (100% 🔥)

Fully diluted market cap, and the size of the liquidity pool with the locked-or-burned percentage beside it. 100% 🔥 means the LP tokens are burned and the pool cannot be pulled. Anything below 100% is the amount somebody could still remove.

Compare the two. A $500K market cap on $8K of liquidity means you cannot exit at anything near the quoted price.

ATH

ATH: 120K (2.4x) 25 minutes ago

The highest market cap the token has reached, the multiple from where it is now, and how long ago that happened. The timestamp is the useful half: a 2.4x that peaked twenty-five minutes ago is a token still moving; the same figure from four months back is a corpse.

Age, Holders and Top 10

Age: 1 week | Holders: 56.6K
Top 10 Holders: 13.71% ($336K)
  • Age: time since the pair was created.
  • Holders: wallet count. Rising fast on a young token is good; a high count on a token nobody is trading is usually an airdrop.
  • Top 10: what the ten largest wallets hold between them, followed by the ladder itself further down the card. Every rung links through to the account, so wallets funded from the same place are one tap from being obvious. The full picture, including the top twenty and what the launch buyers still hold, is one tap away on /wh_.

What each chain adds

From here down the card is chain-specific, and deliberately so: the checks that are cheap and reliable on one chain do not exist on another. Nothing here is missing because it was left out. It is missing because the chain does not publish it.

Solana

Snipers: 1% | Bundle: 6% | Dev: 42 launched, 3 graduated ⚠️
DEXT: 42/100 | Organic: 87/100 | DEX Paid ✅
  • Snipers: how much of the supply the launch buyers took. Flagged ⚠️ at 30% or more.
  • Bundle: how much of that the same wallets are still holding, which is the half that matters. Snipers who have already sold are somebody else’s problem; snipers still sitting on 20% of supply are yours, and that is where the ⚠️ lands. Read off the holder list this scan already fetched, so it is a floor rather than an exact figure — the precise version is the /wh_ map, which reads every holder on chain. The line only prints at 1% or more, because a bundle that has already exited says nothing.
  • Dev: how many tokens this deployer has minted and how many of them graduated off the launchpad. Forty-two launched against three graduated is a factory, and it is flagged. A first-time dev is not shown at all, since “1 launched” is noise.
  • DEXT: DEXTools’ own audit score out of 100. Absent when the pair is too new to have been scored.
  • Organic: Jupiter’s score for how much of the trading looks like real separate buyers rather than volume moving between wallets that funded each other.
  • DEX Paid ✅ means somebody paid DexScreener to enhance the listing, which is a signal of intent and nothing more. CTO 🤝 marks a community takeover.

Ethereum, BNB Chain, Base and Robinhood Chain

⚠️ High swap loss: 5.89%
Tax: 5 / 5 | Gas: $1.24 / $1.61
  • Tax: buy and sell tax, from a simulated round trip through the router rather than from a field in the contract. A contract can declare 0% and still take 40% on the way out; the simulation is what actually happened to a test trade.
  • Gas: what that round trip would have cost, in dollars.
  • The swap-loss warning above the price block appears when the simulated round trip comes back materially worse than the quoted price. It is the honeypot check’s softer sibling: an outright honeypot is called by name.
  • Snipers: Some blacklisted or All blacklisted replaces the sniper percentage here. It means the contract has already blocked the wallets that bought at launch from selling, which is a mechanism, not an accident.
  • Checksum and Dev Rug Ratio, which is the pair of lines nothing else in Telegram prints. Its own section is below.

Checksum and Rug Ratio

Checksum: /cr_d85e6eec
└Rug Ratio: 10 / 3.82K (0%)
Dev: /dr_a075ac583
└Rug Ratio: 0 / 7 (0%)

Proficy fingerprints the contract’s bytecode, the compiled code rather than the name, the ticker or the address. Every scan is matched against 1,548,982 stored contracts, which collapse into 189,465 distinct code shapes, and the ratio reads dead / total: 3,820 tokens share this bytecode and 10 of them are dead. The second pair of lines does the same for the deployer’s address.

This is the field no other Telegram bot prints, and it is the reason to run a Proficy scan even if you already ran somebody else’s. It is also the one worth understanding properly, including why a high ratio is often meaningless and why Solana has none: The checksum database.

The contract line and CA flags

CA: Verified, Renounced, Blacklist, Whitelist
CA: Renounced, Mint (off) ✅, Freezable (off) ✅

Two different lines under one label. The first is an EVM contract, the second a Solana mint.

  • Verified: source code is published, so it can be read.
  • Renounced: ownership given up. Note the caveat: renounced only stops the owner functions that exist. Hidden functions that need no owner still work.
  • Blacklist / Whitelist: the contract can block or permit specific addresses from trading. Sometimes anti-bot, sometimes the mechanism of an exit.
  • Mint, on Solana: (on) ⚠️ means the supply can still grow while you are holding it.
  • Freezable: (on) ⚠️ means your tokens can be made untradeable in your own wallet.

A fully renounced Solana mint collapses all three into one line, which is why a clean card reads Renounced, Mint (off) ✅, Freezable (off) ✅ rather than listing each authority separately.

The name in the header opens the token in the bot, which is how you share a scan into another chat without re-pasting the address. The Links row carries whatever socials the project published. The aggregator row below is GMGN, Axiom, DexScreener, DEXTools and GeckoTerminal, with an Explorer line for the chain’s own; the ladder of top holders links each wallet into that same explorer.

The command links — /p_ /c_ /wh_ /b_ and the per-chain /ce_ /de_ — are covered in Scanning. The single inline button at the very bottom is a trading link, and it is an ad. So is the PROMO line.

Who scanned it first

🥇🔎 @jerryseinfeld 29.34x (1 month ago) 💥💥

Proficy has been the first bot to scan 171,131 tokens, and the card credits whoever ran that scan along with what it has done since. In your own group this is the receipt for who called it, and it feeds the leaderboard.

The PROMO line

One sponsored line, clearly labeled. Ads are how the bot stays free, and they are marked rather than dressed up as data. A promoted token never enters /trending as though it were organic. How advertising works.
