Trending and market data

What /trending actually measures, plus the wider market commands.

/trending is search volume. It counts what people running Proficy are scanning, right now, across thousands of groups, around 17,000 scans a day. It is not a board projects buy their way onto, and it is not a chain’s own hot list republished.

That makes it early and makes it noisy, in that order. A token appears here because a lot of people simultaneously decided to check it, which usually precedes it appearing anywhere else. Paid Trending slots exist, and they are labeled.

It moves fast

The ranking turns over completely within minutes. Checking it twice an hour apart is checking two different things.

/top10, and the buttons under it

/trending and /top10 drop the ranking into your own chat. The message carries two rows of buttons: a timeframe (1m, 5m, 1h, 24h, ALL) and a chain (BASE, ETH, SOL, BSC, HOOD), so the same message becomes any of the views without typing anything. You can also ask directly: /top10 hood, /top10 1h, /top10 10d.

Every row is a /p_ shortcut, so a token on the board is one tap from its whole scan.

The wider market

/index: the top coins by market cap, with a consolidated overview. This is the traditional market, not what Proficy users are searching.
/heatmap (or /dom): the crypto market as a heatmap, plus BTC dominance, over a period you pick with buttons.
/volume: the highest DEX volume right now, filterable by chain with /volume sol and by window from the buttons.
/dext: DEXTools’ own hot pairs, which is a different population from ours and worth comparing against it.
/fearindex, /gas: the Bitcoin fear and greed index, and current Ethereum gas.

Some older commands are still there

/pairs, /futures, /fed and /ave still answer but have come off the printed command list: new-pair feeds, Binance futures long/short ratio, FedWatch target rates and Ave.ai’s hot list respectively. They are kept for the groups that use them. The PinkSale presale commands are in the same position and are no longer documented at all; PinkSale has been quiet for a long time.

Trending channels

The ranking is also published continuously to Telegram channels, one for all chains and one per major chain, so you can follow it without running a command. Every handle here opens the channel.

Getting it pushed to you

/trendingalerts posts the ranking into your group on a schedule you set, filtered to one chain if you want. Group tools covers the setup.
