Paper trading and games
Chips, live-priced paper positions, poker and the rest of the casino.
Paper chips. No deposit, no cash-out, no token. The chips are a score, and that is the point.
| /claim also /pclaim /roll /proll | Free paper chips, four times a day. |
| /bal also /pbal | Your paper trading portfolio. |
| /buy<amount> also /pbuy | Paper-trade any token at the live price. |
| /sell<amount | all> also /psell | Close a paper position at the live price. |
| /send<@user> <amount> also /psend /beg /pbeg | Move chips around the group. |
| /pstats | Your game record. |
Getting chips
/claim and /roll, free, four times a day. Both reset on the clock rather than on a rolling timer from your own last use, at 00:00, 06:00, 12:00 and 18:00 UTC, so everyone in the chat unlocks at the same moment. /beg asks the group, /send moves chips to someone else.
Paper trading
Reply /buy 500 to a scan card and you open a 500-chip position in that token at the price on the card. It then tracks the live price like any other position. /sell closes it, /bal shows the portfolio and /pnl renders a card worth posting.
It is the cheapest way to find out whether the calls you would have made were any good.
The casino
| /games also /casino | Every Proficy paper-chip game, in one menu. groups only |
| /poker[buy-in] | Multiplayer Texas Hold’em: one hand, a bot table, or a full sit & go. groups onlyneeds admin |
| /holdem[ante] | The same picker, plus Ultimate Hold’em against the house. groups only |
| /blackjack[amount] | Blackjack against the house. |
| /roulette[amount] [bet] | Single-zero roulette, bets on buttons. |
| /craps[@user] [amount] | Pass-line craps, house or player-vs-player. |
| /slots[amount] | Three-reel slot machine. |
| /bowl[@user] [amount] | One roll each, highest pin count wins. House or player. |
| /basketball[@user] [amount] also /hoops | One shot each, best shot wins. House or player. |
| /bet<@user> <amount> also /pbet | Coinflip against another player: straight 50/50, winner takes the pot. |
/games opens all of them in one menu. Every game runs on the same chips, so a hand of poker and a paper position in a token are the same balance. Bowling and basketball are two different games, despite the docs having claimed otherwise for a while: /bowl is a roll-off on pin count, /basketball (or /hoops) is one shot each.
Craps, slots, bowling and basketball resolve on Telegram’s own server-side animated-emoji RNG. The outcome is decided by Telegram before the bot sees it, which means it is provably outside our control.
Poker: three tables behind one command
/poker opens a picker rather than a game, because “poker” means three different things here and the buy-in works differently in each.
- vs Players: a ring game, 2 to 8 seats, one hand. Everyone buys in for the same amount and the winner takes the pot. No rake, no house edge.
- Bot Table: a seat against three bots, dealt immediately, with no waiting for anyone to join. They are not one opponent with three names. The table draws from a set of profiles that play genuinely differently: a rock that folds, an aggressive player that bluffs, a calling station, a balanced one. Blinds climb, and you can cash out between hands.
- Sit & Go: a freezeout. Your buy-in is your starting stack, blinds go up on a schedule, no rebuys, and the last player holding chips takes every one of them.
/holdem opens the same picker plus a fourth mode: Ultimate, hold’em against the house. That one has a dealer rather than a table, which is why it asks for a larger balance: an ante, its blind, and room for a 4x raise.
Why your cards stay yours
In a human game, hole cards arrive as ephemeral messages: a real bubble in the group that only you can see, so nobody has to leave for a DM. Your seat is one message that edits itself all the way through the hand your two cards, the board as it comes, what you currently have, the pot, your stack and your buttons. Betting sizes are presets rather than a typed amount, because a text prompt for every bet is hostile on a phone.
That needs Proficy to be a group administrator. Where it is not, the table falls back to DMs, and the lobby says which mode it is running in before anyone sits down.
Your cards and your action buttons sit on the group board for everyone to watch. There is no human opponent to hide them from, and a hand nobody can follow is not worth playing in a group chat.
Roulette
Single zero. Red, black, odd, even, 1-18 and 19-36 pay 2x; dozens and columns 3x; a single number 36x. Bets are buttons, except a straight-up number, which is typed: /roulette 100 17. The wheel is posted as its own animated message and spins before the pocket is shown.
The Lucky Pot
Every chat has one, seeded at 1,000 chips. It grows two ways: dealer tips, which are a cosmetic button on a finished board, and a small cut of what the house has already won. It pays out at random to somebody who was betting at the time, then resets.
Neither the tip nor the pot changes a single payout or a single card. Tips are funded from money the house already took, so the stated odds on every game are the odds you get whether anyone has tipped or not.
Cards worth posting
A real win, a straight-up roulette hit or a flush or better at a showdown, can be rendered as a card and posted to the group. The button is open to the whole chat, not just the winner.
Turning it off
A chat administrator can switch games off for the whole group from the /games menu. Games already in flight can still be finished and cancelled so no stake is ever stranded; only new ones are blocked.
